I was deer hunting and found myself looking at old glass and fossils. This one only weighed 60 pounds, but with a muzzle loader and a 1/2 mile hike.....wooooo! Absolutely worth it!! Question, should I acid treat it or hand etch the fossils to brighten up the hundreds of fossils? It is 20 inches by 18 inches. I want it pretty for eBay. Thanks for input. Ray

Nice collection of crinoids!! Congrats on your finds. When I was a child there were normally referred to as Indian beads!! I've sold them on ebay before and you can makde decent money. Yours might bring a nice price, just don't expect the gold mine!! Congrats on some goodies!!

Burdie, I have Know idea. E-Bay is very unpredictable. I would really like to spruce it up a bit though. I use sulfuric acid a lot, but I hate to damage this one. Ray

We used to find these things on the top of a sand/fine gravel hill at my Uncle's house when I was a kid. We called them "Indian Beads" too! I never knew what they were really called until today......Thanks Jack!!! And Semper Fi back atcha (USMC 1983-1996)
