Well we decided to do a little searching of some fields close to where we have been detecting the field of legends. It was a very interesting day! I found a large cent, and indian head penney, a wheattie, a half cent and 2 thimbles and some buttons. I had to contact Slospokes (Don) to find out about 2 buttons. The one says United States of America around the top and then below that is Epluribus unum and then and Eagle . Don said it is a political button from the 1830's. I also found this other button that says STRONG on the top and in the circle in the middle it says Massachussettes and below that it says HUZZA and there are stars around the inside along the edge where there aren't any letters. I know that it says something over the Massachusettes but I can't read it. The other side is toast. Also dug a one piece button that has a stag on it. That is really cool! :( Another great day and it doesn't hurt to expand your horizons a little. But we did end up back at the field we have been hunting and it never seems to dissapoint:) Thanks for a great day Jim and Arty! Till next time....

You always find the sweet stuff! I love that Eagle button. Still trying to find info on that Mass. Huzza backmark. We have to hunt as much as possible because its close to bug season and these are no places for warm blooded creatures roaming in fields with bloodsucking gnats skeeters and horse flies.

Great spots you and the boys have been hitting, nice finds coming out too. There's a Jackson political button that has Huzza on it in Alberts it's PC-76, maybe yours is a variant of that?..... Dave
