wow what a find !! I was looking at an old indain trading spot where they traded oysters they harvested with others long ago and think I found it big time!! -- found 5 very tiny beads (smaller than a bb ) and they look like a tiny little pebble --- the indains "traded"for things including these beads that were used to decorate their clothing with. --their a very deep royal blue --that I found out is called bodmer blue . --- hope I find some more looks like theres a good chance, that I will.

Ivan, where are the photos? You know we need photos before we can lavish accolades upon you. Let's see these tiny blue beads. I congratulate you, and hope you find more stuff of that era. But we NEED photos.

Yep I agree, where are the photos. As a relic hunter, I enjoy picking up arrowheads and other Indian relics. But to find beads, that sounds like a burial site. Be carefull, many Indians died from diseases that were brought over by the white man.

Ivan if the beads you found are purple they were made from the purple part of a clam shell the Indians called it wampum they were used for trading and as form of money.

wampum-- humm could be -- dark blue almost purplish in tone-- however I found one that was a greenish tone like trade beads are --- their very tiny looks like a tiny pebble with a hole in them --- thier smaller than a bb -- the area was knownto be a local indain big time trading spot I found out thru research -- will try to get the wife to post a scan of them for me ---- I suck at photo posting --- never got the hang of it really -- I think theres many more beads there -- no I would not go to a burial site thats just wrong period to me -- and the locals used shell mounds for burial so you;d know if the spot was one.
