While I was at the Verizon store finding out who owned the phone I found in the dry sand a foot above the wet, and returning it to them, my wife texts me. Last time she took the kids to the doc er field she found a pair of earrings and put them on the local forums to return. Today she found this 925 cross and chain. How do you lose stuff on Astro turf? Anyway, stuff is going home.
Meanwhile at the beach…. I’m surrounded by two 800’s and a manticore most days. Short tides, deep sand, nobody has been finding much. But yesterday I woke up at 3:00 am and couldn’t sleep. I decided to drive to the beach. Still dark out, the mighty Xtera Elite banged out two silver rings. One was crusty one was dirty but they cleaned up nicely. #’s 64 & 65.

WOW that was a happy ending! I JUST got home from the beach, and my cell rings. It’s the lady who lost the cell phone. Verizon got it back to her. She uses it to organize for her non profit and is doing a benefit walk for 9-11 and an Airline I don’t know if it’s ok to mention the name. But she needed the phone right now and was so thrilled to get it back. She offered me a reward I turned down. But she’s mailing me a shirt from the benefit walk. The happiness I feel for her right now beats any reward. And karma rewarded me with this ring from the same beach the phone was on. I’ve never seen turquoise and diamonds like stones together in a ring.
