F70 in the water?

hello, i just had a few questions about the fisher f70, i herd some people say that u can detect in the water with it, is that with the standard 10'' coil, i run the 11" on mine and i was wondering if it was true or not, all the way up to the bottom of the display i herd.

Just keep the box high and dry. The coils are waterproof.

The coil is waterproof. Just remember that if you use it in the water, be sure it is dry before tilting the detector coil and lower rod above the Control box. You don't want water running up the shaft!
