This an old thread but I was currently looking for feedback on the Nel Tornado coil for the F75. I also have the unaltered Camo Edition! I love it! But want a deeper coil! I have a couple of spots in which I know there is a good layer of very old relics. I know because I’m on this beach that I have found a 1 real and 1/2 real silver coins. Plus misc copper hammereds from the 1600’s. Now those coins I found them on a spot which the sand got plowed a couple of times. But there are many other spots that dont. So I made some sampling holes, (just like sampling for gold on gravel bars) looking for old artifacts and signs and in all holes I tend to find old glass, european pottery, bricks and the usual suspects. I found them like 10-12” deep. This is on the dry section of the beach. I know theres history on that beach. So, any feed back on the Tornado coil I would appreciate!

The original F75 is noisy, and likes to run that way. It is also deep. I do really good on coins and rings. The update quiets the machine down and I find a lot more smaller pieces of gold and silver in the parks. I don't need a small coil with the update. Stock coil is great. You also get bp mode which can help I'd deep iffy targets.

Pretty sure we went back and forth on youtube but the tornado coil is going to give you another inch or so of depth over the stocker. I have a 7" silver dime buried. My new edition f75 will ring it up loud and clear on sens. 0......

Im also thinking of doing the upgrade but I’d lose the camo face on my F75, or so I was told.

I have one of the original F-75s (first year) and I shelled out for the update. Definitely stabilized the unit. I can't say I have taken advantage of the Cache or Boost features. They did clean it up, replaced my trigger switch, foam grip & display gasket (possibly the whole unit head); and it is the latest software.

I liked it a lot before and I liked it even better after. I have to say I did not get my money's worth - considering how they dropped the price of the F-75. But if someone stole mine I'd probably get another. It's a great detector.

I have one. A unaltered camo F75 . I felt like Joey Wales refusing to turn himself in when Fisher asked us to send it in for an upgrade. It is very jittery but deep. If things got rough with EMI , I just simply got the back up Tesoro out of the truck. The camo F 75 will be destined to become a collectable in my opinion

I had mine upgraded in 2015. I use the new FA process at most sites along with DE process. It was well worth the $150. When I stop using a machine I sell it before it continues to depreciate, I have no emotional attachment to them. I have 3 in my stable, my main machine, a water machine, and a loaner/back-up.
