Fantasy Sword?

I am thinking this is some sort of fantasy sword or a decoration piece, but I really have no clue, any one have any thoughts? IMG_1344.JPG

It's a Halberd head, not a sword, and appears to be brass so it is most likely ornamental. The "real" ones were steel/iron and had long tangs to protect the shaft they were mounted on.

It's a decorative version of a medieval pole axe, no idea on age, but I'd think not terribly old.


EDIT: Charlie got it before me, but yeah, what he said ^^^^^
