:icon_thumleft: Looks like that field has a lot more potential. You might want to recheck it after a good rain.

thanks everyone,we have been too it three times now,i think there will be some there for many years too come, but most are broke.

That is amazing. Might have been a camp? Bet there is a lot more to be found...

thanks austin, these are just what i found,my friend has many more, one cool white piece that is not quartz but something else, ill take picks of his when we go again.he has lived in tn his whole life but never looked till i got him hooked

You can blame the broken ones on the disc it will cut them rite in half. Still got a nice pile of them. Nothing like a good creek hunt but fields are good to just lots of brokes.

i can not believe he is plowing it,50 acres plows with a small tractor then disc.after he gets done it is super smooth then he comes in and lays down a line of plastic and puts plants in it,ive never seen some of what he grows.

That is a productive field. Thanks for the look.

all the points you find in the fields made me think it was a good ideal,Americus.thank you

here are some that my friend found, the white, kinda clear piece is cool.what type of material do you think it is?amp 006.webpamp 003.webp

Nice field Jamie looks like old stuff and see some bifurcate bases in there. I think your friends may be clear quartz. The field is so old I doubt you will find any pottery. We curse the plow but it sure beats no till.
Hope things are going well over across the mountain for you.:hello:
TnMtns

nice to hear from ya tn mountains, nice to see your latest find too.i ok in this heat hear over the mountain found a few more points in that old field too.the white one feels waxy unlike quartz, but probably just quartz,oh found a cave on the duck river just too chicken to go way back in it,if i knew someone close that done it before i might but all my friends are too chicken also, stay safe tnlatest 002.webplatest 004.webp

Nice hunt jamey, finding brokes like that, there's gotta be some intact pieces around there. Time should treat you well at that place.

we found a few whole ones,i wont spend much time there but my friend hopefully will, and i hope he will find a killer.thanks for looking at the post DigIron,i know you know what your talking about.

Jamey is the cave dry off the Duck or does it flood? If dry I will spelunk it with a sifter with you. That could be golden ya know if it does not flood. Duck still holds some of the best found in N.America so far. I figured you had been hunting over off "Stones" ( I do not want to give your area away! ) Lol.
I am going Sat or Sun about 50 miles from there but carrying a metal detector. I might pick up a few artifacts also if lucky. Glad to see you posting you find very cool stuff!

that would be great to have you come, its dry way inside, has a little water in the front, there is a big rock about 50 foot in,never went past it but we could.it is a very big cave on private property,we just have to get steve,he will probally catfish while we go in.this thing is big though not sure how many miles it goes back

Could be a trip of a lifetime
