Went out for a couple hours today. The fields are not plowed yet and it's real hard to swing with corn stalk stubs. Found a cool old 1910 Boy scouts watch fob. A shield that I think is horse tack related and a 168? Irish Halfpenny of some sorts. This is my second 1600's coin with in a few weeks, crazy!

Congrats on getting the Charles II Irish Halfpenny, 1680-84, can't make out your last number but maybe now with that date range you can. Not too many found, or should I say, not too many found that you can still see details and your date is farily clear. I got my first one a couple years ago and it is worn more than yours! Nice find!

The Boy Scouts started in the US in 1910, so that fob could be really special if that's the date of the fob, or is it the date of the beginning of BSA? It must be on the reverse? We've been in scouting forever, so I just think its totally cool no matter what! :icon_thumleft:

Nice!!! I have found 2 William III half pennies around my area here, and they look just like urs. Great finds!!!

Gota love the farm fields! Congrats! :icon_thumright:

Good link! Of all the fobs pictured there, yours is the best! Very representative of what Scouting is about, a very neat relic! :hello2: Not that your 1600s coin isn't terrific too, but with two Eagle Scouts in the family, and one more on the way, I got sidetracked by your fob! ;D

Great stuff and I'm betting on 1684.
