Favorite songs I was raised on

The matching amps and wardrobe was something I appreciated. The guitars got a pass because of all the different sounds available which also helped define their musical style. When I played, I used two full matching sets of drums but with a wide variety of different size and brands of cymbals.
That's what I tell my wife since 1971 when I buy another guitar or amp, it defines a style!
Cross my fingers.

1971, Congratulations to you and the Mrs. :notworthy: July marks my wife and I's, 1972. Guitars are an investment for the future...............unlike shoes and purses :BangHead:

Ok, now back to my work :hello:

Congratulations to you both! That is quite an accomplishment!

I must have some wiring crossed somewhere. I only buy purses and shoes when I have to. I have always hated buying purses. In 2012, I must have went through my mid life crisis because I bought a lot of dresses and matching shoes, all on clearance, and all of which I can not wear now. :cussing:

It's just that kinda day.

Look at that! 1963

I saw Leslie Gore at a WAPE-Am show in Jacksonville with Del Shannon, The Shangri-Las, Lou Christie, and Roy Orbison, who were the support opening acts for the Beach Boys, when their current hit was "help Me Rhonda".

Rhapsody in the Rain was released in Spring 1966, and was banned on many radio stations , a common practice back in the days of yore.

I never heard it. Let's try this one.

Simon! There was no ice cream with my Birthday cake! LOL! That was 50 years ago. Maybe that's why I have such an addiction to ice cream. Did you recognize my dog, Buddy, in the pic?

ECS, I do remember already posting Leader of the Pack, so I'll post this one.

Roy Orbison's Oh Pretty Woman is my favorite. I liked a lot of his songs. Here's Crying.

My favorite Beach Boys. I liked a lot of Beach Boys' songs. My sister-in-law worked for a cleaning service, IDK maybe 20 years ago or so. One of their clients was one of the Beach Boys. I don't remember which one. It was in northern Illinois.
