Well...... got my feelings hurt on a site I had high hopes for. I had been waiting for the corn to come out so I could hit an old home site just above a ferry crossing. Thinkin somebody beat me to it, and beat it to death. Tons of shotgun hulls and junk. Did pull a war nickel, wheatie and I think a cattle tag. Odd that the tag appears to be solid copper and so heavy. Thought most of the old ones were brass. Any input appreciated. Still another ferry that was also in corn a bit above it. They were getting up the corn on it today. Here's hoping.

Those tags were used a lot in the 1960s on dairy cattle. They will give you cardiac arrest because of the oval shape. Good luck at that site. HH, Q.

Vol, ha ha. Didn't say it but you know that was exactly what happened. Been in some descent scattered CW relics as of late at a small ghost town near one of the main ferries a few miles north of this one. Was really hoping to get into some CW stuff and of coarse this was one of my first signals ....... I jumped about 10 feet high and landed on my knees to gently remove. Oh well.:crybaby2:
