Hello there. Dug two 1900's homesites over the last couple of days for these finds...and the diggin' was easy...no snow or ice here.

Got a nice mix including toys, drawer pulls, hardware, tools, buttons, a corset clip, jewelry, wheats, war nick, buffalo, rosie, and MY FIRST BARBER QUARTER!! The Barber's worn but still a sweet find for me and a great way to start the holiday.

Thanks for viewing. Happy Hunting and T-Bird day to all, may the finds be with you.................!!

Congrats.Some awesome finds there.HH.

Those are awesome finds!

great assortment of finds. someone else here found a ford key like that recently. one of the forum members said it was from a tractor

Enjoyed looking at your finds! Great assortment! Love those barbers no matter what shape there in. Congrats

Obviously wonderful saves, all!

Some will be jealous of your ability to hunt as their ground freezes up and puts an end to their fun,(me included), for a while.

The thing is, I greatly appreciate everyone who posts up wonderful finds thru our winter. I truly enjoy seeing that things are still being found and that keeps my "fires" burning. Makes me me wish I could but it also gives me hope for when I can again.

Thanks for posting your finds!

Keep up the great work!

Hello WHADIFIND. Thanks very much for the kind reply. We do generally have good year-round conditions for digging here in Florida, no snow or ice, soft sandy ground, no rocks to speak of, and not a lot a competition from other relic diggers, the beach is another story though, lots of diggers there, I mostly stay away from ocean beaches and prefer to dig lake shores. But is does get hotter than $#!+ and buggy here especially during the 9 summer months. You gotta watch out for the heat and the skeeters and ticks can get after 'ya most of the year.

In the long run, I think it all evens out between good weather etc. and good finds. It is tough to find really old diggable locations here in Central FL. Most sites I dig are 1880's vintage at best, (but I did unearth a nice 1828 LC in March.) On the other hand I am amazed at the age quality of finds in the North and West. Even though Florida history goes back to the 1500's, most of those sites are coastal and off limits while you guys in the north seem to have lots of 1700's and older sites to choose from.

Thanks again for your reply it is a good feeling to know that us southern seekers are inspiring our nothern friends during the winter months.

Good luck and I hope the weather breaks for you soon. C9

Love that colonial ax head. I have one like I found a couple of years back.
