can someone tell me what the stones were for

Nice collection,the round pieces look like discoidials.

 

[The Grim Reaper]

The first picture is Drills.

The second picture is Madison Triangle Points.

The third picture is another Madison Triangle a small point with a rounded base.

The last picture has 2 Discoidals and a rock with a hole in it that is more then likely natural. The Discoidals were used in a game call Chungee or Chunkee. They look like two very nice one, especially the one you have turned sideways.
