Back at the silver farm again this morning, where, for the second straight day, I found .39 :'(. Fortunately, one of the coins was this 42 Merc; otherwise, it was a frustrating hunt. The cottages in this particular area must not have held kids, or kids with any money in their pockets! This little gun was an interesting find; if I remember, it rang as a quarter/half. After I found the Merc, I got an identical signal about a foot away and thought I might have another; it was just a 40something wheat. Oh, well, tomorrow is another day, and there are more than whispers about a teacher strike next week. Looks like my tranquil hunts are over for a while! >:(

Well at least you found silver and the Indians won. ;) ;D

Now it's on to Boston; now that the Cubs are out, Cleveland has to be the sentimental favorite. In a short series, they can stifle the other team's bats, as the Yankees demonstrated so well. Maybe they'll erase the memory of Jose Mesa!

I am pretty sure that gun is one of the props from the board game "Clue". I remember those pieces from when I was a kid. I guess Colonel Mustard didn't use the gun or maybe he used the gun and stashed it.

I guess that would make him mean Colonel Mustard if he used it! Thanks for the ID.

That revolver is a copy of a Percussion (cap and ball) pepperbox. They were popular in the 1850's-1860's.it had multiple barrels that revolved instead of a cylinder that revolves like our modern day revolvers ;D
I think you're on to something; the end of the barrel has six holes to go with the multiple cylinders.

Nice finds, half!

Good to see your "Silver Farm" is still producing.
