Finally, A Token!

Started to get really frustrated these last few weeks here in Denver. We've been driving around aimlessly, just trying to find a single exposed patch of soil, all to no avail. Withdrawal symptoms were becoming more and more evident. Cynicism, once an occasional occurrence, was becoming an accepted lifestyle. Happy thoughts were no longer apparent, but were being replaced with a feeling of general apathy. It was getting to the point that I might have to resort to that dreaded decision, hunting in parks and playgrounds. No!, It would not come to that! Something will appear to save you! Even if I had to report to the police that the 1880's house owned by that sweet little lady who fed all the neighborhood cats,was in actuality a meth lab, just to detect her yard, started to cross my mind. No Carl, I said to myself, something will turn up. Plus, she kind of looks like your dear sweet grandmama. Finally, while driving around an old site that has produced very well for us, appeared a vision of loveliness. A large strip of land where formally two old houses had been located. Could this be Mecca? It was getting very late in the evening, but I had no choice in the matter. My first signal was an 1901 Indian cent, a very good sign. Then it appeared. About the size of a quarter, octagonal, and with the words barely visible, "Good For". Finally! I'll be back tomorrow morning, and even if I find nothing else, the Token gods have at least spoken one more time.
P.S. No offense to any of you park and playground hunters, it's just when I dig more than 3 pulltabs in a row, I tend to forget to feed my cats for a day or two.

If I were to dig three pulltabs in a row, I'd probably drive around the neighborhood with an assault rifle spraying bullets everywhere. I've almost forgotten what they look like. I'd be unfamiliar with CLAD except for the fact that it's in my pockets.


Excellent work on finding that trade token. They're such incredible finds--and to be honest, there are a lot of things that I've found--good things--that I'd trade for a token.
