I haven't dug in silver since 6-23-12 and no real good multible silver days in quite a long time. This is everything I have dug over last 3 weeks...and the crazy thing is, all the silver was from yesterday!!!!

yesterday I broke my slump with 4 silver coins, a smashed sterling ring, looks like a religious class ring, it says 1960, no way I am bending this thing back into shape without breaking it. Got a 1923 buffalo, and 1903 indian, the other 2 indians were from last week.

Does the NG US button stand for National Guard? I think the elephant suspender buckle is pretty cool, has a 1877 Pat date on it.

The 1942 merc looks like it was in a war, only 2 inches deep, found on a curb strip. Nothing super old and nothing super great, but I was thrilled to get a 5 silver day to break my slump. I am way behind last years totals.

Excellent finds. I really like the elephant suspender buckle and, of course the silver. Good job. Tennessee digger

man you scored some great finds :headbang:

You are not allowed to hunt for the next 2 weeks........to many good finds in one day will cause your head to swell. Then your headphones will hurt your ears. Just looking out for ya.:occasion14:

Nice Hunts Terry. That is a pretty awesome ring. Wish it could be bent back without breaking it.

I wish! this was almost 3 weeks worth and about 8-9 hunts!

Excellent haul :icon_thumleft:

Yes, the NG stands for national guard.

Saint Mary's School in Raleigh, North Carolina, is an independent, Episcopal, college-preparatory, boarding and day school dedicated to academic excellence and personal achievement for girls in grades 9-12. Founded in 1842, the historic, residential 23-acre campus is within easy driving distance of world-renowned Research Triangle Park and the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

Found this on a hunch about your ring... Who knows, might be right?

Nice collection of coins and relics! I like the Dupont car token and the 1927 dog license. You might be able to "round" that ring by heating it up with a torch and carefully reshaping it with a metal ring sizer or tapered punch. What have you got to lose trying? It will still be silver!

hmmm, maybe? what led you to this guess?

Very cool bunch of finds... Congrats on the Silver!

Big fan of that elephant buckle. Do you think that other piece is part of that suspenders as well? Does it swivel? Maybe the other side is there too. Awesome site, congrats!

It was just a guess really... I saw the "SMS" on the ring, and the cross, there are tons of Christian academys, but Saint Mary's School is the only one that I found that matches the ring. Plus it's a girls ring, and SMS is an all girls school... My favorite thing about treasure hunting is figuring out what I've found, and I haven't found a whole lot lately, so, I just like to try to help others figure out what they've found... :)
