Haven't had near the time to hunt as I have had in the past, and this year I am concentrating on totally different sites in order to find old coins like woods and other out of the way places and not so much on my regular public parks.
Not a large chance to find gold the way I am hunting this year, but I still figured I would come across some eventually.
Last week I was at an old public park looking for some old coins and ran across this beauty instead.
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut or two once in awhile.

4.1 grams of 10k, and this satisfied my gold fever for a little while, at least.

This thing was sitting between and within inches of a large, rusty high tone iron object and a small piece of low tone iron but the F70 still said something different was also trying to hide between them.
Luckily I listened and dug it even though the numbers on the screen said it was trash.

Every piece of gold I have ever dug has been disguised and a surprise and this was no different.
Love this hobby!
