After many years searching nickels, I've found plenty of silver, herds of buffalos, lots of errors, and even a few V nickels, but never a key date. I finally found one this week in an ordinary customer wrapped roll. Now that I have the 39D, the only holes left to fill are the 50D and the strangely elusive 38S.

Great find, Ranger Chuck! I wouldn't say "strangely elusive" when talking about the '38S. The three Jeff nickels in discussion are the Top 3 most difficult to find in terms of mint numbers, so it's no surprise that your search has landed you here. Good luck on filling your final two holes. It will surely be a sweet day...

50D - 2.63M
39D - 3.51M
38S - 4.11M
