I went out to a different park here in town with my hunting buddies Lee and Larry. We went to a park that is about the size of a city block that we hunted once in the past. They scraped off some ground about a month or two ago and we found some wheats, buffalo and v nickels out there. There were lots of dig holes so we figured someone else had already cherrypicked the good stuff. So with that in mind we figured there would probably still be some deeper goodies in the part of the park that hadn't been scraped yet.
We were correct...
I got 9 wheats, a 1907 IH Penny, a 1942 Mercury Dime, a copper ring, a Muncie, IND watch fob, a smashed thimble, an Indiana RR Token, and a dateless Standing Libery Quarter! It has no date, but it is still my first ever and was definately an exciting find!
Larry got a huge sterling ring and Lee got some wheats and a 1941 New Zealand large cent. I think we are going to check this place out again today
