Got out today and put in 4 hours got a couple of wheats 1920, 1925 etc, couple of little treats, ax head, flat bottom 3 ringer (are those post CW?) and a 1901 V Nickel. Happy to have it and good to get out. IMG_2262.webp IMG_2263.webpIMG_2264.webp

nice finds truth, I'm sticking with my prediction. been a lot go on in New Orleans in the last 400 years, just a matter of time till you hit that gold coin!. may be French, Spanish, us, but its coming. keep swinging !!!!
 
Nice work buddy... Good hunt! Looking to go out in the morning. We have some bad weather heading my way tomorrow afternoon. Still need some learning time with the max.

Yea I get a lot of mid tones that's for sure... Still working on that coil for ya. Waiting for a answer. Will let you know buy tomorrow.
 
Wish I knew the age. I soaking it in rust removal now.

You can soak items like tools in a pail of cider vinegar.
It will eat away at the rust and won't hurt the base metal.
VPNavy has a chart on Axe heads that will identify that axe and it's age.
