Been a while since I've had a good hunt. Put on my head lamp and hit the parks. Can't really believe it but I think its a personal record for wheaties. Ended my 3 week silver drought. The indian and hand/torch metal was from Saturday. Anyone seen an award metal thing like that? I can't tell if it is old or not.

Wow, that was a lot of wheat!
Congrats on a good hunt and getting 3 silver for the 3 weeks of thirst. It's nice you live somewhere you can actually night hunt! Something I'd love to do. I don't know anything about the medallion, do you think it was originally gold or silver plated? I wonder if it is an award (like an Olympic torch), or something for an Olympic torch rely (1932?), or something like a liberty torch? Sometimes I just try google image searches, but somethings are easier to identify this way than others. My guess would be a search wont turn this up. Let's hope Lowbatts is in the know...

Hope against hope...
One of my brother's best friends was a torch bearer and did get a similar medallion to wear on the run, though much newer I'd suspect and bronzed if I recall. The one you found looks pewter. Gotta wonder if you can't find something like that on one of the Olympic exonumia sites.

My what a lot of wheaties you have! Awesome hunt, and I got that same square ear adornment earlier this year in a totlot! Gawdy, to be sure.
