What a day...it started off when Rob arrived at my house this morning at 9am. We looked over some maps and decided to hunt one of the sites on our list we hadn't hit yet. We arrived at the site and quickly got things going.

Guess what my first find was? Yup, a spoon...go figure. After searching near the foundation I decided to jump in. I started detecting along one of the foundation walls and bang...a solid 83..I started to dig and there it was looking at me...my first Copper...a 1787 Connecticut..YA HOOO. I was pretty stoked at this point. Rob came over and identified the coin within a few seconds.

Rob always tells me to double check my hole and boy I'm glad I did...I was getting another good signal..about an 82...I looked on top of the pile of dirt I excavated out and there it was...another copper!! Two in the same hole...what are the odds? The thing is, there isn't much detail left on the second copper, but we think it may be a Rosa Americana...

I couldn't wait to get home and try and clean the coins up a bit. The detail on the second copper is still pretty bad...but we do believe it may be a Rosa Americana. The Connecticut cleaned up ok, I will get the pictures up in a bit..
