My 1800's spot gives up another treasure today. Decided to hunt along a steel fence bordering the property and the road that I never really did before. Started finding some fence snippets and pieces of aluminum wires ties but kept on going. Found some Lincoln cents and a Jefferson nickel along the way until I come to a choppy dime hit at 3 inches. As I dig everything from experience I dug my plug and flipped it over. Pinpointer gave me a hit deeper in the hole about 3 more inches. What came out was a sliver of a silver coin. Couldn't make anything out so I figured maybe it was a very worn barber dime. After placing my plug back I get another dime hit in the same place still at 3 inches. In the plug was a 1981 Roosevelt dime! I'm figuring that was my initial hit and thanked God I dig everything. I couldn't continue hunting as something was telling me to go check that coin. Went back to the truck and poured some water on it and that's when I saw the shield! I almost had a heart attack. After further cleaning I saw 1773 staring back at me. All my hard work and persistence finally paid off. Thanks for looking and reading this really long paragraph. Mike
