Had a short day at work today and hit a Park I've been to more than I care to mention. Lots of sledders when we had the last big snow. Only able to swing for just over an hour, but found silver!!
First thing I did was eyeball a nice knife just laying there on the ground. I actually thought I'd find more change than I did, and what I did find was all in the ground basically. I was happy to see that 1943-D Merc come out of the ground and the three wheats were nice too. Just a small amount of change, a nice knife and a silver dime. Hope everyone got out to dig a few worms too!!

I love finding knives in this condition, a nice addition to my growing collection!

It's good to be back out, isn't it?

Jack,

:icon_thumleft: WTG nice to take another knife so the kids don't find it and get hurt.

Looks like a good park!

Maybe tie a flashlight on your detector???

For me the Knife would be the find of the day and the Merc icing on the cake. :) I've been able to get out a couple times this winter but right now I am watching 16 inches of recent snow slowly melt. Come on rain!

As Always, Love Silver...and wheats too... 8)
Glad you finally put the coil on the ground...

Nice hunt Jack! That knife is a good $15.00 find and the Merc and wheats are some nice bonus finds. I'll bet it was nice to just get out. I have been told a silver dime is worth about $1.50 these days. HH, Mike

I think your snow will be all but gone by this weekend so you won't have to go to North Carolina to get those silver coins!! Hope to see some goodies soon from your neck of the woods!

I was pretty happy to see the knife and put it with those other knives I've picked up and a silver dime is sweet when the price of silver so high! Not anything like a hammered coin, but you dig whats availible in your region!
