Finally the FIBULA I was looking for......

[CRUSADER]

This field has now been disc-ed, sadly it will not be ploughed this year. So we continued to plot the extent of the hotspot.

33 Roman Coin in 3 hours. Got a stunning 3-4th Century Fibula. How the plough didn't harm this massive piece, I will never know. Specially as the small coins come up bust! A first for me as well, so its a welcome addition to the growing fibula collection

Hi Cru, great fibula! Its the brother to the one I found in 2007! Would look nice next to each other
Coins that you are finding the last weeks seem to be of a better condition that what I have seen previously, good.
Whats the small thing first photo left under..?

A 17th Century buckle without the centre bar.

Uh-what's a fibula?

A Brooch/Pin used to hold up the toga

Ohhh, that fibula. Got it.
Still constantly in awe of any and everything you and the other Brits post, even the trash is better than ours, never seen a pulltab posted or even mentioned, and making the banner whenever you choose to do so, guy living in "ooh it's dated in the 1870's! era Denver resident,

Let me be the first to sincerely beg to come out and detect with you sometime in the near future. Please.
I'll bring my own H&P sauce.
