Could also be melodian reeds. Smaller and less expensive than a piano.

I say squeeze box reeds..They should have a letter stamped on them.Denotes the tone of that reed.

I was trying to find a picture but couldn't get one that showed the reeds. Looks at accordion reed blocks. Those reeds fit on the reed block.
