finds of a life time for me today RARE Saxon 5th arm brooch & 1460AD seal matrix

Hi every one hadn't been detecting for a few months as I had to sell my detector to fix my car :-( but a food friend of mine lent me his T2 which is one of the best machines around! When on a field today i have done for ages and found nothing apart from a hammered
Coin. Only went on it for a few hours and found theses to beautys. The Saxon part of a arm brooch is rare in the UK and there's only 9 record in the museum =). And the seal matrix is one my wish so I'm over the moon =) =) =)

The seal is of 15th century Christianity picture of a pelican feeding her babys with blood from her chest.
The owners name is writen on it and it says.. William son of John.

I'm not sure, but I think jimmy means a "Supporting Arm Brooch" like this one.

The seal is really nice. I can not make out the lettering though. Could you spell it out; the lettering straight from the seal? Just helps my understanding of the abbreviations, etc. of items from the period.
And that Saxon piece--very good indeed!

It reads S' WILL'I FIL' IOH'IS (Latin) Seal of William Son of John :icon_thumleft:

Two nice finds Jimmy, only ever had one myself (complete) always nice to find Saxon on a field :icon_thumleft:
