Finds this weekend

I went through $25 in pennies, $175 in dimes, and $500 in halves and found the following:

$25 pennies:
-26% copper
-14 common date 40's and 50's wheats

$175 dimes:
-skunk

$500 halves:
-one lonely 40%er

This is now my 8th half box in a row with silver in it. Although I barely hung on, I will continue this silver streak as long as possible. I'm doing two more boxes next Saturday.

I just started w/ the pennies...my question is...how do people sell the 95% copper pennies? I've looked on eBay, etc...doesn't seem like this trend is really catching on yet. I bought $10 in pennies, took out the wheat pennies, and sorted about 1/2 of them into 95% copper and non copper jugs.

The key is to hold the copper pennies for long term. You'll be glad you did later on when the melt ban is lifted and copper pennies become junk copper similar to junk silver. When silver was largely in circulation, no one saw the point of saving them either.

Gotcha, but that's going to take up a lot of space...and be heavy as all heck.

That is a very good question. Time will tell.
