Good evening, I found this ornate button this afternoon at the same spot where I found the shield nickel last week.The button has a back mark that says “fine quality.”

Does anyone know what this button is? Besides just being a really nice button!

Yeap, a Civilian button from circa 1820s.
 
Without knowing the size of this button, I'd say it's a cuff-button from a coat. :icon_scratch:
The details on this piece are very clean.
