Yesterday was the last day on this field. It was 10 days (6 from memory on my own). The fields rape crop is already showing, wow they do this fields fast now!

This field was previously thought of as an OK field but we did better than normal this year. Still only covered 1/2 of the total area.

This doesn't include a lot of much lower grade finds & roman pot shards which are put aside.

I am very happy with this amount in 10 days 8)

The history is its always been a field. Ploughing on it started in the mid-Victorian period. No homesteads on the field, but its only 1/2 mile out of a Roman town.

People have been dumping there sh*t on the fields for 2000 years

Nice! As usual a great haul. Congratulations!

Nice totals!

What is this thing? I just found the same thing this evening...thanks.

How deep in the park was all of this stuff?

Parks are generally Public property & most Council's have banned Detecting under their By-Laws. This is a ploughed field & most stuff was no more than 3inches deep. Several pieces on the top, no spade needed.

What an assortment of old coins! My buddy Tom would probably glue a penny under my coil if that's what it would take for him to go over and detect in your country! (He's an ancient coin aficionado).

Wow, I wonder what you would have found if you had time to cover the whole field? I imagine no matter how meticulous you detect these fields, they will never dry up as long as they're plowed.

Very impressive for 10 days!!

Congrats,
