Detecting my lawn today, as it always gives up weird stuff. I think I found part of a fire hose nozzle. At least that is what I think it is because I have never seen a regular garden hose nozzle this long and heavy. It came up as Iron on my F2 and this sucker was pretty deep. I had to get a shovel for leverage to break it loose since it was buried almost diagonally and I had problems getting it free. I cleaned it with a wire brush as best I could for quick pictures. Whatever this is, it is old. How old? That is for you guys to help with. Have at it :hello2:

It's an axle skein off of a buggy or small wagon.

Huh well thank you for the ID Creskol. I guess then It could be hard to date since my house was built in 1900 who knows what was here before, and the fact that the automobiles were not as affordable in the early 1900's. Appreciate the ID, I never would have thought of that.:icon_thumleft:
