I don't know about the value of yours, but once found a round stone ball in a Confederate Civil War era artillery position near Atlanta. It was about the same diameter as a cannon ball for a 12 pounder. I was told that they made these stone balls, and wrapped them in leather like a baseball for a good fit in the bore. I believe it was John Sexton from the old Relic Shop in Stone Mountain that told me that. Cheers!!

That's a new one on me.
It seems it would take much time to Carve/create certain size stones to fit in the Cannon.
Hmmm. Even if they Shattered upon Firing the pieces would still do some 'Human' Damage.
