Got my first silver coin a few weeks ago, a 1937 Quarter. Returned to that site yesterday to see if there was anything I missed the first time around. Heard a nice high signal, but thought it was some sort of featureless aluminum disc after I got it out of the ground. It was getting dark, didn't think much of it and threw it in the bag. I can't describe how excited I was when I realized what it actually was.

She's seen better days, but I'll take it! Only the second year of production which is pretty darn cool. Thanks again for all your support, it's awesome to have a group that I know will be excited to see this. :headbang:

Awesome old quarter!

Congrats on your first 19th century silver coin. By coincidence my first 19th century silver coin was also an 1893 Barber Quarter. I dug mine in 1984 across the street from the high school I attended.

She is a rough old gal, but she is beautiful! Congratulations!
