A good start to the new year from a very wet UK, I have some good fields with crop on them which usually l would be able to search, but l have held back this season so far due to them being so wet and my possibly making a mess in the mud. so l can't wait to get on them...
So l'm still doing the stubble field which l've been on since the harvest !!
So finds are drying up somewhat : But l certainly wont be complaining about my first 2 silvers of the year:
A silver unit of the Coritani from around 55 to 45 BC.
A silver penny of William the Lion of Scotland from 1174 to 1195 AD. crecent and pellet issue.
Hutch.

I prefer frozen, it doesn't ruin the crops, & in ploughed soil its still easier to dig than sticky.

Frosty conditions are best for me too. l don't like the mud at all.. trying to find a small target in mud is so difficult.

Those are some real nice coins....

Outstanding! You had a good weekend! Friday and saturday detecting and sunday sitting in front of your finds with a cup of tea.... :hello2:
Thanks Westfront.. l feel that you know me, as you are correct in every way.! Hutch.
