First 2R, First Pillars and Globe, First Counterfeit

I wish I could have said "first cut coin" because that's what's been on the top of my bucket list and that's what I thought I had before I put my readers on. Oh well. Still an interesting piece of a coin. I think it might be counterfeit. What do you all think? Would a silver break produce an edge like this?

Real or fake, it would have been 2R and I think the date was 1750.

The two little articulated pieces of hardware are curious. One still has wood up inside of the copper. Maybe parts of dividers or compass?

The big sort of cylindrical piece is from a broken barrel tap.

Oh yeah. I wasn't paying that much attention. I was just digging anything that repeated. I didn't consider that it might be counterfeit until later. Although now I'm inclined to think that it is fire damage, as Cru suggests.
Got home late from work tonight, but tomorrow I'm going to see what the signal is and I'll post. Thanks, Carl.

Carl made me realize that I had not done the obvious. I neglected to look at the numbers on the broken coin. So, just now I checked it and some other things that were on the window sill. This is with the machine that I found it with, the Nox.

The broken coin was 16-18, mostly 17. A Barber dime was 22-23. A small fragment of pewter spoon was 15. A small piece of silver spoon bowl was around 24.

So, what does this mean? The reals that I have found are more like the Barber dime signal. Would the irregular shape effect the numbers on the broken coin? Would fire damage effect the signal?
