So, Got my first few actual sealed boxes of coins. one box of pennies from one bank, and a box of pennies and a box of nickels from another. got em all sorted through.
between both boxes of pennies:
D- Wheats:
3x 44, 1x 47, 49, 54, 55, 56, 58
Unmarked Wheats:
1x 41, 42, 45, 2x 46
and a 45 S.
canadians: 75, 77, 82, 84, 89, 91, 93, 01, and 2x 81.
one of the pages I found online said that all S-marked ones were worth saving, and I got a total of 19 S-marked non-wheats, ranging from 68 to 74.
also got I think 30 of the '09 set, only two of the log cabin, and a BUNCH of the "professional life" ones. the condition of these ranges, but most are pretty decent looking I think.
on the nickels, aside from a bunch of louis and clark ones and new-buffalo ones, I got one 1945 D. all the lettering can be at least made out, the date is clear, but theres some scratches and most of the detail on the back is pretty worn off.
got around 9 pounds of 81 or before pennies, and a little more than a pound of 82's that haven't been weighed or anything.
seems like a pretty good start. gonna be looking into trying halfs and dimes, and maybe more nickels soon.
