First Barber

[firerescue1965]

I have been at this for a month now and nothing to show for it but a few wheats and many pull tabs. Yesterday I went back to what I call my "training lot" where a old house used to be but is now a large vacant lot and within 10 minutes I find this awesome 1899 Barber Quarter. I am still figuring out my detector which is an Ace 250, so hopefully it wont be another month until the next good find.

Nice, the only Barber I have found is a dime, and it was from this century...Great find!!!

That's sweet. I have been at this for a little over a year total now and have only found two mercs for my silver content. I have found tons of civil war artifacts, colonial coins, and large cents, but I never seem to come across any silver. That's a heck of an accomplishment for a newbie. Way to go.
