Before I flipped it over that's the first thing I thought and that it was some kind of token.

Unfortunately no, oldest was a 36. Rest were all 40s and 50s.

Got $10 in cents and $10 in buckles. Being lazy and in a rush. Pulled 3 Wheats and 47 Canadian. 2 40s nickels. I seem to get older Canadians then I do Wheats..... Go figure

Did my 3rd box of cents today.

Steel 43 cent
1918
1928
Five '50
Two '40

And a New Zealand

Good job homeslice, welcome to the world of cents. I like the NZ coin, I doubt many members can make the claim of finding one. Also, I'd like to thank you very much, for being 100% correct in your usage of the term 'cent', alot of new cent hunters, unfortunately use the p-word (penny), to describe cent. Even an experienced pro like myself, sometimes slips and uses the word penny, yet, you just started and not one mistake yet. Something to pride yourself on. Keep up the good work.

Speaking of cents, I got 5 boxes I need to go through.

4th box Cents
'44 '44 D
'45
'46 x3
'53D
'55 '55D

Wife got me $10 in Dimes Quarters and Halves
All skunks but a Rosie '56
So not bad!

Be careful, copper fever can turn into silver fever really quickly ;-)

Just did my first box of cents. They were in Loomis paper rolls, which are tightly wrapped machine rolled. No way to re-use those wrappers!

The tally is:
7 wheats 6 from the 50s, 1 46D
3 Canadian cents

Do you re-roll or use one of the coin counters? I think my bank charges 2%.

Free at my bank or a coin star machine and do an eticket for Amazon or some where ill use it at, also free of charge doing it that way.

Thanks, I'll check those options out.

Is my keeper rate (10 out of 2500) fairly typical for cents? My son and I have only done hand rolled nickels before this and the keeper rate for 1959 and older nickels seems to be higher. My son has found 2 silver nickels so far.

5th box of Cents

9 Wheats

Jamaica one dollar
Barbados one cent

It's taken out of circulation by the government (like the Canadian cent, but not melted down). I have just a few, which means they are not that easy to find.

6th box of Cents

11 - 50s
4 - 40s

2 Cent Euro

Some odd coin, says:
Play Money 5 and other side 1796-1790
Colonial Hepices (maybe)
