I keep one of each date for my personal set, but aren't worth much really. I keep the wheats.

After much research, I decided to keep the really shiny ones!

I keep all the 87's I find and throw the rest back, Definetly keep the Wheats! HH, Maverick.

if you don't keep wheat cents, then find a new hobby, and get out of coin collecting/hunting in general. Wheat cents still put a smile on the serious collector, and no-matter-what-are-worth-more-than-a-cent period

Yeah, I like Wheats...just read through a bunch of differing opinions concerning the NIFC halves, so i figured I'd ask.

I keep all 1987 half dollars, and i got my first 2012 half dollar last week which I am keeping. I only keep as many as 5 real nice NIFC half dollars that are not proofs, but i keep all proofs i get no matter what condition they are in.
