first button, but how old

after 4 months i have finally found my first button, was about 5" down under an old apple tree.
not much i know but i am easily excited.
any one got a guess on age/ type or what not

looks like a regular gilted flat button - early to mid 1800's

Yeap circa 1830 is about right.

looks like a typical flat button 1800 -1830 eraish normally --see if there is any wording or marking on the rear -- called "backmarks" or if there is anything etched on the front --if so a more exact date might be obtainible as well as who made it -- often these were british made with various "quality mark
" markings like -- treble gilt -- superior quality -- rich orange colour

Home is the only site i could find a little information on the ones i've found. My neighbors thought i found gold when i found my 1st one. Nice find. Not sure if that site came up or not, but you can google greybird relics
