First day finds with the Equinox 800

That "Bach" item is not a token but likely something that goes with a brass instrument manufactured by Vincent Bach Brass Instrument Company as that appears to be their logo. See this: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...FjAXegQIBBAB&usg=AOvVaw1Vux3IFumP8Kr3L9aRckl4

Yes, that's it. The "h" is rather distinctive and matches! Good catch!

So I'm wondering now if there is a musical instrument buried in my backyard. :)

The Vincent Bach company still exists, so I just sent them a message to see if they can identify which instrument it came from.

@cudamark - I did mistype it, I meant Bach (not Back).

10 days of finds

Here's a group shot of all the finds in the 10 days with about 15 hours on the detector. Includes 35 coins, 5 rings, lock, car and a golden elephant.

Your yard is loaded lol

You are doing quite well, Shooting Star!

And, by the way, every time I see your username, I think of that old Bad Company song "Shooting Star!" It's stuck in my head, thanks to you, LOL!

Day 11

I took a little hiatus. I now have a 6-inch coil to try out! I went to areas in the backyard I couldn't easily reach with the 11-inch coil. I also went under my raised deck for the first time. Most of the nails were from under the deck, but I also found an earring there. I found a UCLA token in the grapevines. The four pennies were found in areas that I went over before with the 11-inch coil.
