Was hunting my childhood home, in Southern Idaho, built in 1914. I detected the garden, and much to my surprise, I pulled out a 1918 Canadian dime. I have detected the yard before, but the 1970's stuff is five or six inches deep--as deep as my detector will go. I only found two coins in three hours of detecting: the silver dime and a 1979 penny. I was shocked and elated to find silver, and even more surprised that it turned out to be Canadian.
