First Excal back up with new 15" WOT and trial run with great results
Hey All,
Got my first excal 1000 back up and running after doing a hard wire with the 15" WOT coil (bought from Crackbadger). Did a little paint job and made a DIY straight shaft. Did a 4hr hunt at CWB( pretty sanded in) a lot of the finds were pretty deep. This is my second class ring find, it sounded like it was only about 3 inches down with the WOT coil, but was about 13"+ deep. total finds; 10K class ring, 1 925 charm, 1 925 earring, SS spiner ring and misc junk jewelry and 70 cents in clad. Glad I brought my deep scoop. Going to take a little more practice though getting the PP down with this WOT coil, but looks like it's off to a good start.

). Hey CB used "Krylon Fusin paint for plastic" guess I didn't let it dry long enough(had a few chips after using it), but overall seems to standing up pretty good. The depth on this WOT coil is awsome and with my DIY straight shaft balances out the weight perfectly (actually feels lighter than my other Excal with a Babs straight shaft). Can't wait to see what else I can find with this WOT in the future.
