First finds ever!

Well I finally got back into it TODAY with an - ACE 250

My first one was a cheap model but it found lots of clad in shallow sandy playgrounds.
I figured I would start out slow and see if I still got the "tingle" when I heard a beep.

I still do!

I started in the front yard, and by the time it was over I had found $3.22 in clad!

I also found a whole bunch of trouble from my wife!!!!!!!!!

"It looks like we got infested with Armadillos!!!!!!!" She screamed at me from the back porch.

I filled every whole, but my wife manicures our lawn, and there were a few blades of grass out of place.

I apologized and strapped the thing to her arm - ten feet and she found a wheat penny.

45 minutes later and she's got two more pennies, three quarters, a nickel and she's headed for the park down the street!

Now she's hooked, the yard looks like crap, I've lost my new detector to her!

It's OK though, I'm ordering a Garrett GTP 1350 as soon as I'm through writing this!

It might be scary right now creating that monster, but you have done a good thing. Lots more time for you to hunt the goodies. I love having my wife hunting beside me. Congrats on the finds and way to go!

Great story. Finding a hobbie you both enjoy is great. My husband sometimes digs for me or does child patrol so I can get my MD therapy in. Keep digging!

I think this was planned, you knew she took perfect care of her lawn, dug it in hopes she would make a comment, then you left, yes LEFT that wheat cent and guided her to it...you didn't lose that detector, it was hers all along and now you are getting the one you want. Great planning and congrats on converting her into one of us!!
