Hey everyone, it's been a couple of years since ive been in here. I've missed it. Finally back into detecting again. I went out last weekend to a new place to look for some arrowheads and came across some bricks and glass in the field so I grabbed my detector. My first signal was a flat button then the US thing not sure what it is. I dug a couple more buttons and then out came the green disk, my first copper of the year a KGIII it looks a little different than my usual ones. I also got my first flying eagle a 1857. It was raining and muddy so hard to see much on the buttons until I cleaned them. One is a marines button found a few feet from the flying eagle. And another has a eagle on the back, can't make out what it says yet looks to be around war of 1812 or so. I found several arrowheads and some odd and ends to top of a good day out. Going out tomorrow with my mom to see what's left. Hope everyone has been good and found lots on their wish list. HH

Looks different because it's later. (1806,1807)

Thanks IP Ive never found one that new.

The U.S. relic looks to be a piece of collar brass. I'm thinking WWI but not positive. Nice find. :occasion14: Big coppers are always nice as well!

Thanks evolution on the id I thought could have been earlier with the coins found near it but after researching the marines button with the back D Evans. It was from1845-1945 and the button has a black finish and from what I read puts it around WW1. Thanks again. Now just need to find a older one today if my mom will ever get here to go lol

Great early finds. Congratulations.
