Hi All.So far,my finds have been few this year.My first ring find was a silver spoon ring,that I found on March 1st.My next find was a thin silver band found on March 11th.I got out to the beach today and finally found my 1st gold of the year.I got to the beach at 11:30 a.m.,and started hunting with my Excalibur 2.I immediately noticed that there had been some beach erosion, since I had last been there.I searched parallel to the beach for about 20 minutes and finally got a nice medium low tone,in my head phones.I scooped it up and was very happy to see a ring in my scoop.The ring was yellow gold ,with 5 small diamonds, and had the date 12-6-86.There was no karat mark in it,but it later tested 14k.I continued to search,and 15 minutes later,I got another one of those tones in my head phones.Scooping up the target,I was happy to see another ring.This ring was a wedding band,with 11 small diamonds,and also had no karat mark.It later tested 14k white gold.The next 3 1/2 hours produced only a few clad coins. Finding these rings really made my day.I hope that it is a sign of more nice finds to come.HH everyone.
