I've been detecting for years, but never found gold. I found a lot of silver and copper because I didn't always dig the midrange signals. Maybe I lost some gold (and nickels and bottle tabs) along the way, but my strategy was always cover as much ground as possible and dig the best signals, minimize the junk. Recently I've been digging more signals. I hit the beach (only the second or third time ever) in Neptune Beach, Fla. Nice sunrise, I took a photo...Ok, so the gold is a little earring with silver running through it, but it was great to see the glint of gold. It was actually sticking through the sand. Cell photo made is blurry. Thanks to Earthworks for sizing and sending the photos back.
