I thought I would have all the house projects done by now but it was not meant to be. Two of the three rooms I was remodeling during the winter are done but the last one is a full bath and the biggest project of the three. The demolition is done and all the materials are purchased it is now just getting moving on the actual work of putting it all back together. I'm hoping to be done within three weeks...we will see.

With that being said I've only only been able to get out during lunch time a few days when it was warm enough. Here is some of what I've found from a park that was established in 1895.

First is a 'What is it?' Yes, I'm too lazy to post it in two spots so it will have to stay in Today's finds. I think it is a handle to a gas or oil lamp. There is a hole straight through the stem portion.

Here is a Gold 14K pendant that reads #1 Mom. I told my wife I hope I can find someone that deserves it which earned me a punch to the arm.

This toddlers bracelet I would have sworn it was gold because it came out of the ground exactly like it look in the picture. No markings and it looks like it was cut from a tube of some sorts. I found a rough spot where the cut was not made cleanly. So now I'm thinking it is polished brass or copper. Any thoughts??

My oldest silver coin was a 1909 Barber Dime.

Other coins include a 1962 Quarter, 1897 V Nickel and a few Indian Head pennies that I can't recall the exact dates but one is a fatty w/ shield on the back (1860-1864).

Some odds and ends that include a National Suspender Company buckle, a old lip stick tube with Greek key design, part of an old key, flatware and another what is it that looks like a lead arrow.

I did not post any clad or wheat back pennies. I hope you enjoyed the pictures and that you all are getting out much more then me. That will change soon...I hope.

Nice silver coins, could that be a key for a clock as well?

Seger,
I don't think so but I'll have to look at the end and see if it is hollow and square. If it was a key for a clock I don't think the stem would be tapered. My wife thought it looked like a bottle stopper but then I don't know why a hole would be through it. I'm thinking the hole is for a wick or to let gas through when you turn the knob...just a thought.
