First gold ring find with my Excalibur 1000

Well, it is nothing spectacular but it is my first gold ring with the new Excalibur 1000. Picked it out of about knee deep water at Beach #6, Presque Isle State Park, Erie, PA.

I agree with Nashoba ANY gold ring is spectaclar! It was a great find and you are lucky to be able to hunt there. In my area, anything with STATE in the name, is off limits.

Beautiful Shrecky,
Swam in those waters many times and often thought about detecting those shores, that sand is very course and lots of fine gravel, didn't know they shipped in sand, I haven't been there since the late 60's & 70's, now some war of 1812 relics might wash up maybe a button or two that should be the next find. Maybe Admiral Perry's cutlass or a buckle.

That is a great ring. I have yet to find a single solid gold ring. Plenty of plated.

From what I hear the better spots are in chest deep water.

Do you have a wet suit? They really are not that expensive.

Looks like a good ring to me. I have just found my first gold ring today on my second time out with my new Minelab 1000, too. After two outings with this machine, I think it was a great choice. Congrats on your ring!
