Hit the East Coast for a low tide wet sand hunt with Bigmike. It didn't look promising with grey, mushy renourished sand. In the first fifty feet I got an iron hit and my next hit was a mid tone. I started digging and after about five scoops I said to myself, it was going to be fun digging deep pulltabs all day in this mush. A couple more scoops and I had it out. I cleared my scoop in the water and told a guy that had been watching me dig "Your not going to believe what it is". He said real loud "What do you got". I walked over to him and let him look in the scoop. He took it out of the scoop and started saying he couldn't believe it. He was more excited than I was. 14k 7.5 grams. Thirty minutes later I hit another solid mid tone and in one scoop I had it out. I dumped the scoop on the sand and spread the sand out with my foot and there was a silver band shining back at me. I knew it was white gold because it was a solid midtone. 14k 3.0 gram white gold. We followed the tide down for the next four hours and targets got scarce. Spring break crowds are in full force...good luck to everyone.
